Materials We Print With

From everyday prototyping plastics to high-performance engineering materials — we print it all right here in South Florida. No overseas shipping. No massive minimums. Just the right material for your application, printed & delivered fast.

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-Modified)

ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate)

PAHT-CF (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Nylon)

PC (Polycarbonate)

Standard Materials

Fast, affordable, perfect for most applications.

PLA (Polylactic Acid)

Best For: Prototypes, visual models, signage

The workhorse of 3D printing. Easy to print, excellent detail, available in 20+ colors. Perfect for concept models, display pieces, and anything that lives indoors.

✓ Excellent detail and surface finish
✓ Wide color selection
✓ Most affordable option
✓ Fast turnaround

✗ Not for outdoor use
✗ Softens above 50°C
✗ Not impact resistant

**Starting at $0.08/gram**

&

PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol-Modified)

Best For: Functional parts, marine, outdoors

Our most popular material for parts that need to work. UV resistant, water resistant, impact resistant. The go-to choice for boat owners and anything exposed to Florida weather.

✓ UV and water resistant
✓ Good impact resistance
✓ Food-safe options available
✓ Excellent for marine use

✗ Can string during printing (cosmetic)
✗ Scratches easier than PLA

**Starting at $0.10/gram**

&

Engineering Materials

High-performance materials for demanding applications. Industrial quality, local service.

ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate)

Best For: Outdoor, automotive, permanent installations

The outdoor champion. Originally developed for automotive exterior parts, ASA handles years of direct sun exposure without yellowing or becoming brittle. If your part lives outside 24/7, this is your material.

✓ Superior UV resistance
✓ Long-term color stability
✓ Weather resistant
✓ Similar strength to ABS

✗ Requires ventilated printing
✗ Higher cost than PETG

**Starting at $0.15/gram**

&

PAHT-CF (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Nylon)

Best For: High-strength industrial, aerospace-adjacent applications

Engineering-grade performance. Carbon fiber reinforcement provides stiffness that approaches aluminum at a fraction of the weight. Heat resistant to 150°C. This is what you use when standard plastics aren’t strong enough.

✓ Exceptional strength-to-weight
✓ Very high stiffness
✓ Heat resistant to 150°C
✓ Professional matte finish

✗ Higher cost
✗ Requires hardened nozzles
✗ Abrasive to print (we handle this)

**Starting at $0.50/gram**

&

PC (Polycarbonate)

Best For: Impact resistance, high-heat, optical clarity

One of the toughest printable materials. Polycarbonate is the same material family used in bulletproof glass, safety glasses, and aircraft windows. When impact resistance is non-negotiable, PC delivers.

✓ Extreme impact resistance
✓ High heat tolerance (110°C+)
✓ Good optical clarity
✓ Flame retardant options

✗ Requires heated chamber
✗ Can be prone to warping
✗ Higher cost than standard materials

**Starting at $0.35/gram**

Quick Comparison

Why Our Engineering Materials Are Different

Proper Equipment

Our P2S printers feature actively heated chambers (up to 60°C) that maintain consistent temperature throughout the print. This prevents warping and ensures proper layer adhesion on engineering materials. Most “3D printing services” use consumer-grade printers with just a heated bed—fine for PLA, inadequate for serious materials.

Hardened Nozzles

Carbon fiber is abrasive. It destroys standard brass nozzles in hours. We use hardened steel nozzles designed for abrasive materials, ensuring consistent quality across your entire run.

Controlled Environment

Engineering materials like nylon are hygroscopic—they absorb moisture from the air and print poorly when wet. We store filaments in humidity-controlled environments and dry them before printing.

The Result: Industrial-quality parts from engineering materials, made locally in South Florida.
